New AKA Management Model Announcement

To all Karters,

Over the last decade a dedicated group of AKA members have been working hard with the National Karting Council, Kart Clubs and karters to develop a new management model for the Australian Karting Association where our sport will be governed at the top level by a Board of Directors.

The Board will consist of five members covering the disciplines of Finance, Administration, Technical, Competition and Marketing & Promotion. From within these five members a Chairman will be elected.

Each of the elected Board Members will have demonstrated skills not only in their area of expertise but also extensive management experience at the senior level. With this excellent skill set the Board will be focusing on the future of our sport, developing and implementing long term strategies for continual growth and ensuring these results are achieved. July Club Day Races Pre Enter Now

The July Club Day races are being held at OGKRC for all club members on Sunday 29/7/2012. The feature class for July is Sportsman Heavy.

For anyone competing in this event, please don’t forget to pre-enter online by Wednesday evening 25/7/2012. Only those who pre-enter online are eligible to be in the tyre draw which is held at the completion of racing.

The entry fee for competitors entering online is $45. No additional fee will be charged if paying by credit card. The entry fee for competitors who don’t pre-enter online will be $50.

Working Bee Saturday July 28 2012 Helpers Needed

The club is holding a working bee on Saturday, July 28, morning only. The track will be closed for normal use during the working bee.

Please come along, and help out your club.

Track Closed For Maintenance July 23 2012

This maintenance is only scheduled for one day, so the track will be open again Tuesday, July 24.

July General Meeting Tonight 7.30pm

The July general meeting of the Oakleigh Go Kart Racing Club is being held this Tuesday July 10th 2012, at 7.30pm in the club rooms.

All members are invited to attend the general meeting. Many discussions, ideas and decisions are made at the general meetings. If you don’t attend, you are then unable to have your say in the direction that the club takes on various matters.
