Southern City Classic Details From The President

Club President Adam Bourke has issued this statement detailing the late class changes for the Southern City Classic to be held April 9 2011.

Hi All,
Due to the change of classes by the AKA/NKC, we at OGKRC have decided to be one of the first clubs to get these classes happening.

We at OGKRC fully back the Sportsman class for the smaller open meetings and club day racing.

We believe it will bring back the larger fields and encourage the Restricted driver to move up.

While it is a late decision to change the line up of classes, we hope that karter’s will see the benefit and come and race, especially trying the Junior Top Guns format that has worked so well over the years of qualifying then one heat and a final of 25 laps.

There will be prizes on offer for the 2 sportsman classes as well, including 3 sets of tyres for each class.

I look forward to seeing large fields of the Sportsman class race.

Adam Bourke
President OGKRC

  1. Has anyone got any idea why this meeting has disappeared from the AKA pre entry?
    Is it still running?

    • Bruce,
I have forwarded your question re AKA pre-entry to the race secretary.

Yes the meeting is still running.
