A past member of our club (when it was Dandenong Go Kart Club), Barbara Woodfine, has notified the club of the passing of Gary Batt. Please read on.
Dear Members,
I would like to inform anyone who can remember Gary Batt alais Ernie Barlow that Ernie died of lung cancer at Moorabbin Hospital and his funeral will be on Monday morning at Springvale. Details in tomorrows Sun 6th Janaury 2012. To all new members I would like you to know just how much work this man put into the club from when it was just a rabbit skinners hut. He was there seven days a week and even though he did not drive himself he got much pleasure in helping out in any way he could. Whether it be mowing grass picking up rubbish, marking lanes, getting things ready for meetings etc. This club has much to thank this man for.
